Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy optical networking solutions using Ciena's 6500 and 8700 series routers.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.
  
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to DWDM, fiber optics, and datacenter networks.
  
• Develop expertise in OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) testing and fault location techniques.
  
• Provide technical support for customers on existing infrastructure installations.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 4-9 years of experience in Optical Networking with a focus on Ciena equipment.
  
• Strong understanding of DWDM technology and its applications in telecommunications networks.
  
• Proficiency in working with fiber optics systems, including splicing, cleaving, and termination procedures.
  
• Experience with datacenter networking protocols such as SONET/SDH or IP routing protocols like BGP/EIGRP/MPLS.
