Role Overview:
As a Data Centre Provisioning Engineer will be responsible for supporting the deployment, activation, and operational excellence of hyperscale data centre network infrastructure You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure seamless provisioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of network systems
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering & Troubleshooting
Minimum 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting network Layer 1, 2, and 3 issues, preferably within AI fabric, 3-tier Leaf and Spine, NSF, and Optical networks
Provide direct engineering support to Data Center Construction, NetOps, FacOps, activation, and audit teams
Respond to hardware, software, network, design, or tooling issues; create and manage tickets, and drive network-related issues to resolution
Incident Response & Deployment
Lead data centre deployment using zero-touch provisioning tools to bring entire data halls online rapidly
Track and resolve reliability, security, and continuity issues during hyperscale infrastructure deployment
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, MSPs, and third-party vendors
Operational Leadership
Indirectly manage large teams responsible for racking, stacking, auditing, cabling, and testing thousands of network switches
Establish and enforce network standards, ensuring compliance with client policies
Escalation Management
Participate in on-call rotation to resolve or re-route issues as needed
Identify opportunities for process, tool, skill, or automation improvements to reduce future escalations
Data Measurement & Automation
Sequence, schedule, and manage multiple dependent projects on hyperscale datacenter fabrics
Develop workflow automations for large-scale network switch deployments
Edit and manage large databases that integrate multiple systems in real time
Enhance the quality and quantity of reported metrics, focusing on escalation issues, fault/event trends, tooling failure rates, and vendor performance
Required Skills:
Data analytics and reporting
Troubleshooting internetwork routing and switching at datacenter scale
Bash and Python scripting for device automation via CLI
SDN automation experience
Fiber optic circuit troubleshooting, including MTP fanouts
Knowledge of datacenter space, power, IEC, and NEMA specifications
Experience with rack, fiber, patch panel, and device inventory (including board, chipset, firmware, and kernel auditing)
Equipment and IP deployment expertise
IPv6 routing and switching, including SLAAC
Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) via PXEboot, TFTP, and SLAAC
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with large-scale, hyperscale data centre environments
Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders
Proven ability to drive process improvements and automation initiatives
