Job Description
Job Summary
The Business Analyst / Quality Engineer will support YPO Globals enterprise KPI Dashboard Project by ensuring business requirements are clearly understood, documented, and delivered with quality. The role involves working closely with the Product Manager, Project Manager, Data Architect, the Data & Insights team, and various business stakeholders to map end-to-end processes and support the development of enterprise dashboards. The position also includes planning and executing quality assurance activities, covering both manual and automated testing, to ensure accurate and reliable reporting outcomes.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Business Analysis
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, business needs, and reporting requirements.
- Document end-to-end processes required to meet project goals.
- Support the ingestion of data from Google Analytics, Datadog, Coveo, and Salesforce into bronze-level data warehouse datasets.
- Assist in transforming data into silver-level analytical datasets for reporting.
- Collaborate on building Tableau dashboards for enterprise KPI reporting.
- Quality Engineering
- Develop, plan, and coordinate test strategies and test plans.
- Perform manual and automated testing to validate data workflows, dashboard accuracy, and system functionality.
- Identify defects, document issues, coordinate resolutions, and ensure quality across releases.
- Verify data ingestion, transformation, and reporting processes across all integrated platforms.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Product, Project, Data, and business teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Communicate requirements, findings, risks, and updates clearly to stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvements in processes, documentation, and testing activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in documenting business processes and requirements.
- Good understanding of APIs, relational data warehouses, ETL workflows, and data ingestion methods.
- Experience working with reporting tools such as Tableau.
- Ability to design and execute test plans for both manual and automated testing.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with multiple teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in data-driven or analytics-focused projects.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Datadog, Coveo, and Salesforce.
- Exposure to data quality validation and dashboard testing.
- Understanding of data transformation layers such as bronze and silver datasets.
- Basic knowledge of SQL or scripting in a data environment.
