Job Description
Job Summary
We are hiring a Business Analyst with strong MDM expertise to support master data governance, requirements gathering, data quality initiatives, and MDM system implementations. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to define data standards, improve master data processes, and deliver high-quality MDM solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to Master Data Management.
- Work with business teams to define master data domains (Customer, Vendor, Material, Product, Employee, etc.).
- Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, data dictionaries, and mapping documents.
- Coordinate with technical MDM teams to design data models, validation rules, workflows, and matching/merging logic.
- Support MDM implementations using tools such as Informatica MDM, Reltio, SAP MDG, Talend MDM, IBM MDM, etc.
- Perform data profiling, data quality checks, and data cleansing activities.
- Define and enforce data governance and data stewardship standards.
- Work with integration teams on source-to-MDM and MDM-to-downstream systems data flows.
- Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and manage defect triage.
- Provide documentation and training to business users.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2+ years in MDM projects.
- Strong understanding of master data, data governance, data lifecycle, and data quality.
- Experience with one or more MDM tools:
- Informatica MDM / IDMC
- Reltio
- SAP MDG / MDM
- Talend MDM
- IBM Infosphere MDM
- Ability to create detailed process flows (BPMN), functional specs, data models, and mapping docs.
- Good understanding of SQL (basic), Excel, and data analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Customer/Vendor/Product/Material master data domains.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum, writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience with ETL, API, or integration flows related to MDM.
- Certifications in MDM, Data Governance, Agile BA, etc.
