Job Description for the roleWe are hiring an API Enterprise Engineer for global API Management & integration environment. In this role, you will be supporting enterprise solutions with your extensive experience in API Management. You will be responsible for engineering for the API platform and API on-boarding. You are the kind of person who has expertise in:
Setup and configuration of the Apigee platform (Apigee X/Apigee Hybrid), including keystores, truststores, and KVMs Basic Qualifications for Consideration: Bachelor s Degree/high school diploma/GED Hands on experience in Apigee Configurations, Management and APIGEE testing.
Maintaining the SLA, health, and well-being of the API platform infrastructure
Designing and implementing solutions for traffic control and API security
Creating custom policies in Java, JavaScript, Node JS, Python etc. in API management platform Standardize the CI/CD setup for API management tools and automated deployment
Understanding of RESTful and SOAP Services
Implementing requirements of the API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, request, and response modifications etc. using API management platform
Designing and developing API proxies and REST APIs using API Management platform
Converting web services from SOAP to REST or vice-versa, using API management platform
Hands on experience in DevOps related tools Harness, Gitlab, GitHub, Gitlab runner , Maven , Docker , Kubernetes, Google cloud , Linux server
Setting up and installation the tools and required infrastructure
Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.
Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline Preferred Skills for Consideration:
Experience with version control software such as Git/Bitbucket.
Hands-on experience in designing and developing high volume web services using API Protocols and Data Formats (REST, JSON, SOAP & XML).
Experience with CI/CD Tools (Jenkins, GitHub) for Apigee proxies deployment automation.
Experience hands on working knowledge on Linux based infrastructure and google Kubernetes engine.
Excellent Working knowledge in Apigee X Api management .
Excellent hands-on experience in the scripting language Python/Groovy/Perl , JavaScript, and Java to write the pipeline.
Hands-on experience in various automation tools such as Jenkins and Gitlab as continuous integration, GitLab/GitHub/Bitbucket as SCM , Harness as continuous deployment, Ansible, chef and puppet, Coverture, Maven Plugins , Sonar, Jasmine, ServiceNow and Confluence.
