Job Description

• Build Python data converters (not simple scripts - full class architecture)
• Design multi-step conversion workflows (parse map build validate)
• Engineer AI prompts to automate repetitive development
• Extract reusable patterns from working code
• Document processes so future AI can replicate work
• Iterative development: build test document improve

• XML parsing: lxml, xml.etree (complex nested structures)
• Data modeling: dataclasses, Pydantic, type hints
• OOP: abstract base classes, inheritance, interfaces
• Custom exception handling

• Prompt engineering for GitHub Copilot/LLMs
• Design AI workflows (step-by-step instructions for AI agents)
• Create decision trees and tool sequences
• Write documentation that AI can follow

• Parse X12 EDI format (pipe/tilde delimited healthcare standard)
• Generate valid XML with namespaces
• Complex field mapping (source destination)
• Handle date/time conversions, code translations

• Understand HIPAA 5010 specifications
• X12 segment structure (ISA, GS, ST, HL hierarchies)
• Healthcare transactions (270/271/837/835)

• Design repeatable conversion patterns
• Document for both humans and AI
• Extract reusable components
