Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with strong hands-on experience in advanced analytics, machine learning, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will translate complex business problems into scalable data science solutions while mentoring junior team members and contributing to high-impact client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Analytical
- Lead end-to-end data science projects from problem definition to deployment and monitoring
- Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models (classification, regression, clustering, forecasting, NLP, etc.)
- Apply statistical techniques and advanced analytics to drive actionable business insights
- Work with large, complex datasets using SQL, Python, and big data technologies
- Design and implement feature engineering pipelines and model evaluation frameworks
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to productionize models (MLOps exposure is a plus)
Business & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
- Communicate insights and model outcomes effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Support pre-sales activities including solution design, estimations, and client presentations
- Ensure solutions align with business KPIs and deliver measurable value
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor junior data scientists and analysts on best practices and technical skills
- Review code, models, and analytical approaches to ensure quality and scalability
- Contribute to internal accelerators, reusable assets, and thought leadership initiatives
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
Experience & Skills
- 59 years of hands-on experience in data science, analytics, or applied machine learning
- Strong proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow preferred)
- Solid understanding of statistics, probability, and machine learning algorithms
- Experience with SQL and working with structured and unstructured data
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience in retail, CPG, BFSI, healthcare, or supply chain analytics
- Hands-on experience with NLP, time series forecasting, recommendation systems, or GenAI
- Familiarity with MLOps tools (MLflow, Airflow, Docker, CI/CD pipelines)
- Experience working in consulting or client-facing roles
- Knowledge of big data ecosystems (Spark, Databricks)
