Job Description
Required Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Routing Protocols OSPF and BGP.
- Experience with firewalls, switches, and security policies.
- Good understanding of subnetting, segmentation, route design, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls (must-have).
- Working knowledge of SD-WAN (Versa experience is a strong plus).
- Cloud networking experience in:
- AWS (BGP integration, routing, connectivity)
- Azure (VNet design, routing)
Troubleshooting & Operations
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex network issues across on-prem and cloud environments.
- Experience supporting multi-site enterprise networks.
Experience Level
- 37 years of hands-on network engineering experience (flexible based on capability).
- Prior ownership of end-to-end network tasks rather than ticket-driven L1/L2 support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification(s):
- Fortinet NSE4/NSE5
- CCNA/CCNP (or equivalent routing/switching certifications)
- AWS/Azure cloud certifications (nice to have)
- Prior experience with:
- Large-scale network transitions or consolidation
- Multi-region cloud network designs
- Fortinet + Versa SD-WAN deployments
Soft Skills
- Strong individual contributor mindsetable to take ownership without constant direction.
- Proactive in problem-solving, design suggestions, and improving network setups.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Excellent communication, especially for cross-team collaboration.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to rapid infra changes.
Location Requirement
- India-based candidates only.
- Hyderabad strongly preferred.
- Occasional onsite work at the Hyderabad vendor facility (2 days/week eventually, not immediately).
- Fixed US time-based shift (8AM 5 PM US Central Time)
