Job Description
Role Summary:
Looking for highly skilled Senior IBM Datacap Developer to lead and support a fresh implementation, version upgrade, and ongoing application support of IBM Datacap solutions across both on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will work in a global delivery model, collaborating with onshore and offshore teams to ensure seamless execution of project deliverables. Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation & Upgrade:
- Lead the design and development of new IBM Datacap applications.
- Perform version upgrades and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
- Migrate Datacap solutions from on-premise to cloud (or hybrid) environments.
- Application Support:
- Provide L2/L3 support for Datacap applications in production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to scanning, OCR, workflows, and integration.
- Monitor performance and optimize Datacap processes.
- Collaboration & Delivery:
- Work closely with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements.
- Coordinate with offshore development teams for development and support activities.
- Ensure timely delivery of solutions in an agile environment.
- Documentation & Best Practices:
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specs and user guides.
- Follow best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Datacap 9.x or higher.
- Expertise in Datacap Studio, Datacap Navigator, Datacap Rulerunner, and Datacap FastDoc.
- Experience with OCR engines (e.g., ABBYY, Nuance) and image processing.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, Azure, AWS) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in .NET, C#, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Understanding of document capture workflows, batch processing, and security models.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for working in a global delivery model.
