Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking an MLOps Engineer to manage and support machine learning models deployed in production environments (e.g., Vertex AI). The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability and performance of ML systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor deployed ML models for performance, latency, and prediction accuracy.
- Detect and handle data drift and prediction drift using Vertex AI Model Monitoring.
- Manage model versions, deployments, and rollback strategies.
- Automate workflows using Vertex AI Pipelines and CI/CD tools.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and Cloud Engineers for smooth model handoff.
- Maintain incident response runbooks and perform root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with security and governance policies.
Required Skills
- Cloud Platforms: Google Cloud (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Monitoring).
- Programming: Python (Vertex AI SDK), Shell scripting.
- MLOps Tools: Vertex AI Pipelines, CI/CD (Cloud Build, Jenkins).
- Monitoring: Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, custom metrics.
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (GKE).
- Version Control: Git.
- ML Basics: Understanding of model lifecycle, drift detection, and retraining.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Knowledge of feature stores and data pipelines.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and canary deployments for ML models.
