Job Description
A Senior UX designer will lead software design solutions by understanding user needs in a variety of enterprise spaces and creating innovative concepts to help solve those challenges.
The designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams across all parts of Zebras business, practicing design thinking and evangelizing a human-centered design approach to ensure Zebras solutions offer a best-in-class experience for our customers.
The designer will look to support a variety of technical deliverables ranging from information architecture, workflow diagrams, wireframes, and pixel-perfect production UI specifications. They will have a more advanced understanding of production limitations around software technology and be able to clearly articulate their viewpoints when working with teams. A Senior UX designer will be expected to manage multiple projects at various phases concurrently, provide testing and feedback plans for their work, and mentor junior team members.
- Capture user needs and customer use cases and generate, iterate and test concept solutions to design problems.
- Supports all stages of design development process from customer research, concept development, prototyping and execution.
- Presents work to team members, stakeholders and customers.
- Excellent understanding of interaction design, visual design, design systems, and other related design skills.
- Effectively manages multiple design projects autonomously and sets milestones.
- Mentor younger design professionals and nurture core design skills and design thinking
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to perform effectively in an agile, fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Minimum Education
Bachelors degree or certificate in HCI, design or equivalent
Minimum Experience
7+ years of professional experience as a User Experience Designer
Core Competencies
- Strong problem-solving and conceptual development ability to manage work through production.
- Experience building modern web and mobile applications (experience with enterprise software a plus).
- Experience with industry design tools such as Figma, Framer, Miro
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and design concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Proven experience working on large-scale, global technology products in a space
where hardware, software and AI innovation intersect in the enterprise space.
