Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Managing & maintaining SUSE Servers

Managing IBM, DELL, Lenovo Fujitsu and HP HANA appliance servers.

Building/reimages SUSE Linux servers in both physical and virtual environment.

Managing Linux virtual machines that are configured in ESX environments.

Providing Level 3 supports to the customers and Managing the Antivirus environment.

Patching and OS upgrades on SUSE servers

Exposure on DNS, NFS, Samba, FTP, LDAP, NTP, Email services.

Knowledge on SAN or NAS environment.

Knowledge on RAID, LVM.

Exposure on any clusters and package management

Good understanding of Networking concepts like TCP/IP, DHCP, IP Routing and Name Resolution.

Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for technical issues. 

OS Concepts on Security, Backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, LDAP, high availability and disaster recovery concepts, Monitoring etc. 

Knowledge in configuration management systems such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible Must Have: Skills in Cloud (AWS Or Azure Or Both is advantage) AWS Skills: Experience with EBS,EFS, VPC, Elastic Beanstalk, SNS, Cloud watch, S3, EC2, Auto scaling, CloudFront, ELB etc. Hands on NSG & NACL, Firewall management.
