Job Description
A UX designer II will help contribute to software design solutions by understanding user needs in a variety of enterprise spaces and creating innovative concepts to help solve those challenges. The designer will integrate with cross-functional teams across all parts of Zebras business, practicing design thinking and evangelizing a human-centered design approach to ensure Zebras solutions offer a best-in-class experience for our customers.
The designer will look to support a variety of technical deliverables ranging from information architecture, workflow diagrams, wireframes, and pixel-perfect production UI specifications. They will have a more advanced understanding of production limitations around software technology and be able to clearly articulate their viewpoints when working with teams.
- Seek out and capture user needs, customer use-cases, and create design prototypes to be validated by collaborating directly with our cross-functional stakeholders (such as Product managers, Program Managers) and Senior Designers
- Supports all stages of the design development process from customer research, concept development, prototyping, and execution.
- Presents work to team members, stakeholders, and customers.
- Proficient understanding of interaction design, visual design, design systems, and other related design skills.
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Minimum Education
Bachelors degree or certificate in HCI, design or equivalent
Minimum Experience
5+ years of professional experience as a User Experience Designer
Core Competencies
- Strong problem-solving and conceptual development ability
- Foundational understanding of web and mobile technology and agile frameworks.
- Experience with industry design tools such as Figma, Framer, Miro
- Effective oral, written, and visual communication and presentation skills
- Experience working on large-scale enterprise, global technology products in either B2B or B2C.
