Test Lead/Senior Test Engineer - Automation Testing with Selenium @ CGI

Job Description

Role Overview:

• CGI is seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong experience in Selenium and related automation frameworks
• The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test suites for web applications, ensuring high-quality product delivery through robust testing practices

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver
• Build and enhance automation frameworks (Hybrid, Page Object Model, Data-Driven, BDD)
• Analyze functional requirements and convert them into test scenarios and test cases
• Automate regression test suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Execute tests, analyze results, log defects, and track them using tools like JIRA/Azure DevOps
• Work with TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, Git, and other automation tools
• Ensure cross-browser testing using Selenium Grid / cloud platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)
• Implement best practices in automation strategy, test data management, and reporting

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Required Skills:Strong experience in Selenium WebDriver
• Excellent programming skills in Java or Python
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts and automation framework design
• Expertise in TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle build tools
• Experience with BDD tools (Cucumber/Behave) is a plus
• Experience integrating automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman, RestAssured) preferred
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle
• Experience with version control systems like Git/GitHub/GitLab
• Knowledge of SQL for basic data validation
• Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
