The Job

As part of AVEVAs global Cloud DevOps team, youll help ensure our cloud solutions are reliable, secure, and high quality. As a Cloud Test Automation Engineer, you will collaborate with developers and portfolio teams to test new cloud capabilities, automate testing processes, and strengthen our operational stability. This mid-level role is ideal for someone with solid hands-on testing experience who enjoys solving problems, improving systems, and working across global teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and execute functional, performance, and automated test cases.
  • Build and maintain test automation frameworks, scripts, and supporting tools.
  • Analyze test results, troubleshoot defects, and collaborate with engineers for resolution.
  • Lead or participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for operational issues and drive follow-up improvements.
  • Support monitoring, operational stability, security, and cost-management activities for cloud solutions.
  • Contribute to DevOps process improvements through automation, optimization, and reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to AVEVA engineering standards, policies, and compliance practices.
Essential Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in software testing, QA engineering, or cloud test automation.
  • Experience designing and executing test plans across multiple test types (functional, performance, API).
  • Proven experience in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and scripting.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with RCA or incident analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate with global technical teams to resolve issues.
  • Comfort working periodically outside standard business hours/on-call (global 24x7 team).
Desired Skills & Competencies
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure or cloud-based application testing.
  • Experience with tools such as Visual Studio test frameworks, C#, PowerShell, Python, or API test automation tools.
  • Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments.
