Role Overview

The Outbound Calling Executive Travel Insurance will be responsible for proactively reaching out to travel agents via outbound calls to promote and sell travel insurance products. The role involves educating agents on available insurance offerings, identifying their needs, supporting policy bookings, and driving conversions while ensuring accurate communication and compliance with regulatory guidelines.The incumbent will also build strong relationships with travel partners, address queries, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth policy issuance and post-sale support.


Key Responsibilities

Make outbound calls to different categories of travel agents to introduce, promote, and sell travel insurance products.

Educate travel agents on insurance coverage, benefits, features, eligibility, and pricing.

Identify agent requirements and recommend suitable travel insurance products.

Assist agents with policy bookings, proposals, and documentation requirements.

Follow up on leads and open opportunities to maximize conversion rates.

Address agent queries and objections in a professional and consultative manner.

Coordinate with internal operations and policy issuance teams to ensure timely processing.

Ensure all outbound communication adheres to IRDAI guidelines, insurer norms, and internal compliance standards.

Maintain accurate records of calls, leads, outcomes, and conversions in CRM or tracking systems.

Achieve assigned call volume, conversion, and revenue targets.

Required Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • 14 years of experience in outbound calling, telesales, or insurance sales (travel insurancepreferred).
  • Experience working with travel agents, B2B sales, or partner management is an advantage.
  • Graduate in any discipline; insurance certification is a plus.

Key competencies for the role:

  • Strong communication and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to explain insurance products clearly and confidently.
  • Target-driven mindset with strong follow-up skills.
  • Customer-focused and relationship-oriented approach.
  • Basic understanding of insurance or willingness to learn.
