GenAI Architect @ Cognizant

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled GenAI Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of Generative AI enabled engineering frameworks across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in AI/ML technologies, SDLC modernization, LLM tooling, and the integration of AI-assisted development practices into enterprise engineering ecosystems. This role will play a critical part in shaping the future of AI-driven software delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10 to 15 years of overall experience in software engineering, architecture, or AI/ML technologies.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG frameworks, vector databases, and AI-driven engineering tools.
• Strong expertise in one or more cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their GenAI service stacks.
• Deep understanding of SDLC modernization, DevOps, MLOps, and AI-assisted development pipelines.
• Experience evaluating and integrating tools such as:
• GitHub Copilot / Azure AI Studio
• OpenAI / Anthropic / Llama-based models
• LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or equivalent orchestration frameworks
• Solid knowledge of Python, Java, or .NET, plus familiarity with modern IDEs and AI-based developer tooling.
• Proven ability to define enterprise architectures, technical standards, and governance frameworks.
