Job Summary:
We are seeking a high-calibre Technical Lead Manager / Technical Project Manager to spearhead our AI and Machine Learning initiatives and drive end-to-end delivery of enterprise-grade AI solutions.
The role requires a strong blend of hands-on AI/ML technical leadership, team management, and project ownership, with the ability to mentor engineers, manage client engagements, and translate advanced AI research into scalable real-world applications.
You will lead a high-performing team of 10 , 12 AI engineers and data scientists, manage multiple AI programs, own customer PoCs and demos, and ensure timely, high-quality production deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Provide architectural oversight and technical direction for AI/ML projects including Generative AI (LLMs), Computer Vision, Predictive Analytics, NLP, and data-driven systems.
- Review code, ML pipelines, and deployment strategies to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
- Guide teams on model training, evaluation, MLOps practices, and production readiness.
- Resolve complex technical challenges and delivery bottlenecks.
Project & Delivery Management:
- Own end-to-end delivery of AI projects from requirement gathering to production deployment.
- Plan sprints, milestones, resource allocation, and delivery schedules using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to quality, security, and performance standards.
- Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies.
Team Management & Mentorship:
- Lead and mentor a team of 1012 AI engineers, data scientists, and developers.
- Drive performance reviews, technical growth plans, and team retention.
- Foster a high-performance, innovation-driven engineering culture.
Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into structured technical solutions.
- Lead PoCs, demos, and technical presentations for customers and leadership teams.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, and DevOps teams for seamless delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications Experience:
- 8+ years in software development or technical delivery roles
- 34+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML projects
- 2+ years in a technical leadership or people management role
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with Machine Learning frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, MLflow
- Solid understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG pipelines
- Experience with MLOps & DevOps for AI solutions
- Proficiency in Python, REST APIs
- Cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP
- Knowledge of data pipelines, analytics, NLP or computer vision is a plus
Management & Communication:
- Proven ability to manage teams of 10+ engineers
- Strong project planning and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical audiences
- Excellent client engagement and presentation skills
Education:
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or related field
- Masters / PhD preferred
Certifications (Good to have):
- PMP / Agile / Scrum Master
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- On-time delivery of AI milestones and production deployments
- Customer satisfaction after PoCs and demos
- Team retention and technical capability growth
- Quality, scalability, and stability of AI solutions delivered
Important Notes:
- This is a full-time, work-from-office role based in Bangalore (Lavelle Road).
- Candidates must be available for in-person interviews and office-based collaboration.
- Only candidates with hands-on AI/ML project experience will be considered.
- Experience in Generative AI / MLOps will be a strong advantage.
- Salary will be offered based on experience, technical depth, and interview performance.
- Immediate to 30 days joiners will be preferred.
