Job Description (JD): DevOps/ GCP Cloud Support Engineer (Onsite)
Role Title: GCP Cloud & Kubernetes Support Engineer
Location: Onsite (Customer Location) MUMBAI
Shift: Business hours / As per customer requirement
Experience: 2 to 3 years (relevant experience)
Role Overview
We are looking for an onsite GCP Cloud Support Engineer to support and manage Google Cloud infrastructure, Terraform-based deployments, Kubernetes workloads, and basic Red Hat Linux operations. The role involves day-to-day operational support, incident handling, and coordination with customer and offshore teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite operational support for GCP cloud infrastructure.
- Manage and verify infrastructure provisioning using Terraform (basic to intermediate level).
- Support Kubernetes clusters (deployment checks, pod/service monitoring, basic troubleshooting).
- Perform basic Red Hat Linux administration (user management, services, logs, patch checks).
- Monitor system health, respond to incidents, and perform first-level troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with offshore/cloud teams for escalations and planned changes.
- Participate in handover, documentation, and knowledge transfer activities.
- Adhere to customer security, compliance, and change management processes.
Technical Skills Required
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Compute Engine, IAM, VPC operational knowledge.
- Terraform: Understanding of modules, plan/apply, basic troubleshooting.
- Kubernetes: Pods, services, deployments, basic kubectl commands.
- Linux: Red Hat Linux basics (processes, logs, disk, networking).
