Job Description
OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Teamcenter PLM Test Lead to drive the quality assurance efforts for our Siemens Teamcenter implementations. This dual role requires hands-on expertise in manual functional testing alongside the ability to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks. The ideal candidate will lead a team of QA engineers, define testing strategies, and ensure the reliability of Teamcenter modules, integrations (CAD/SAP), and workflows.
Responsibilities
1. Test Leadership & StrategyAct as QA Test Lead for large-scale Teamcenter implementation, upgrade, and maintenance projects.Define the overall testing approach (Manual vs. Automation mix) based on risk, effort, and tool constraints.Create and maintain structured test plans, strategies, and test cases.Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Project Managers, and Product Owners to prioritize backlog and sprint planning.Ensure Requirements Traceability (RTM) between requirements and test cases for maximum coverage.Lead defect triage meetings and provide go/no-go recommendations. 2. Manual & Functional TestingPerform deep functional testing of Teamcenter modules (e.g., Structure Manager, Workflow, Change Management, Access Manager).Validate CAD integrations (NX, CATIA) and ERP integrations (SAP).Conduct data migration validation and system integration testing.Execute UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and provide post-go-live support. 3. Automation Testing & Framework DevelopmentDesign and maintain automation frameworks (e.g., keyword-driven, data-driven) for Teamcenter web and Rich Client.Develop automated scripts using Selenium, Playwright, or Tosca for critical regression scenarios.Utilize scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript to build automation solutions.Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).Perform RESTful API testing for Teamcenter services. 4. Team Mentorship & Process Improvement Supervise and guide a team of testers, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.Develop coding standards and best practices for test automation.Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on defects and propose preventive measures.
Qualifications
Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering or Computer Science.10+ years of total software testing experience, with at least 5 years in Teamcenter PLM.Strong communication and leadership skills.
Essential skills
PLM Domain: 8+ years experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM (modules, workflows, and Data Modeling).Automation Tools: Strong hands-on experience in UFT, Selenium Webdriver or Playwright.Scripting Languages: Proficiency in Python or Java.Database: Good SQL knowledge for backend data validation.Tools: Experience with Jira, Xray, or HP ALM for defect management.CI/CD: Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.
Desired skills
Experience with Tricentis Tosca for PLM automation.Experience with Teamcenter Active Workspace (AWC).ISTQB Certification.
