Job Description
- Prepare cost estimates and pricing for non-standard, customized, and special products.
- Analyze customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements for accurate estimation.
- Evaluate material, machining, labor, overheads, and subcontracting costs.
- Ensure cost calculations are aligned with approved costing methodologies and margin guidelines.
- Support the Quotation Team by providing timely and accurate cost inputs.
- Assist in preparing detailed cost breakups and justifications when required.
- Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Purchase teams to validate cost assumptions.
- Liaise with Engineering to understand manufacturing feasibility and process requirements.
- Coordinate with Purchase for raw material pricing and vendor quotations.
- Support revisions and re-costing in case of specification or scope changes.
- Maintain proper documentation of estimation sheets, assumptions, and approvals.
- Update costing databases and reference files for future use.
- Provide cost-related reports and analysis to management as required.
- Ensure compliance with internal costing procedures and audit requirements.
- Assist in improving estimation accuracy through historical data analysis and feedback from production
