Job Description
Job title: Project Manager_SPM
Reports to: Technical Project Manager
Qualification required: B.E. / B. Tech- Mechanical / Production
Job Responsibilities:
- Create design concept and detail engineering
- Design considering manufacturability, cost, performance and durability.
- Conduct design review to improve product performance and resolve technical issues.
- Lead end-to-end design and development of packaging machines (e.g., FFS, flow wrap, cartoning, bottling, sealing, labelling, or custom automation systems).
- Guide the engineering team in mechanical design, automation integration, and component selection.
- Review and approve 3D models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, safety norms, and customer requirements.
- Lead multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
- Track project timelines, costs, and technical milestones.
- Identify opportunities for modular design, standardization, and value engineering.
- Stay updated with industry trends in packaging machinery, robotics, and automation.
- Participate in client requirement discussions and translate needs into engineering specifications.
- Address customer feedback and integrate improvements into future designs.
Desired Skill Set:
- Excellent mechanical and automation design skills.
- Strong understanding of packaging processes and machine mechanics.
- Expertise in GD&T, DFMEA, DFM/DFA principles.
- Leadership, communication, and technical mentoring skills.
- Strong project management and cross-functional coordination.
- Problem-solving mindset with hands-on approach during testing and trials.
