Power Bi Developer @ Tredence

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
• Connect, transform, and integrate data from various sources including SQL Server, Azure, Excel, and APIs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage user access within Power BI Service.
• Optimize and tune Power BI datasets, dataflows, and queries for performance and scalability.
• Lead data modeling and ETL processes using Power Query, DAX, and SQL.
• Establish best practices for data visualization, report design, and governance.
• Manage Power BI workspace administration, gateway configuration, and deployment pipelines.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall BI strategy and roadmap.
• Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure data quality and consistency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 69 years of total experience, with at least 4+ years in Power BI development.
• Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling (star/snowflake schemas).
• Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, query optimization, stored procedures).
• Experience working with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake) is preferred.
• Excellent understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL pipelines.
• Strong visualization and storytelling skills with attention to detail and usability.
• Hands-on experience in Power BI Service administration and Power BI Gateway configuration.
• Exposure to tools like Tableau, SSRS, or SSAS is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
