Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Lead UI Developer with over 7 years of experience in modern web application development. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on expert in React.js with Redux and TypeScript, responsible for leading UI development initiatives, mentoring junior developers, and architecting scalable, responsive front-end solutions. You will play a pivotal role in integrating with backend services, ensuring performance, and driving best practices across the UI team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the UI development lifecycle for complex web applications using React.js and Redux.
- Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality, reusable, and scalable front-end code in TypeScript/JavaScript (ES6+).
- Mentor and guide junior UI team members, conducting code reviews and promoting best practices.
- Manage project deliverables and timelines for React-based applications.
- Collaborate with UX designers and backend teams to integrate UI with RESTful/SOAP Web Services (JSON/XML).
- Develop fully responsive web applications that deliver consistent experience across multiple devices and browsers.
- Ensure application performance, cross-browser compatibility, and address client-side limitations.
- Maintain and modernize existing JavaScript codebases.
- Create Proof of Concepts (POCs) for new technologies and UI frameworks.
- Adhere to and advocate for security standards in front-end development.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in web application development.
- Proven experience in leading UI projects and mentoring junior developers.
- Extensive project management and development experience with React.js framework and Redux state management.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+), including DOM manipulation and the JS object model.
- In-depth knowledge of Front-End/UI development and integration with backend applications.
- Expert-level skills in modern HTML5, CSS3, SASS/SCSS, DHTML, JSON, and XML.
- Solid experience in building responsive web designs (RWD) for multi-device compatibility.
- Deep understanding of browser differences, limitations, and client-side performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with debugging tools for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer.
- Proven experience in services integration using SOAP and RESTful Web Services with XML/JSON.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Nice to Have Skills (Good to Have):
- Experience with other UI frameworks like Angular or Vue.js.
- Knowledge of front-end build tools (Webpack, Grunt, Gulp).
- Experience with Accessibility standards (ARIA/ADA Compliance).
- Familiarity with JSP/XHTML.
- Awareness of application security standards (OWASP).
