Job Description
Data Quality Monitoring & Reporting
- Review and manage multiple operational data quality reports, ensuring a strong understanding of each reports purpose, data flow, and expected outcomes.
- Execute reports on schedule, analyse exceptions, identify data anomalies, and escalate issues to relevant operational teams for further investigation.
- Conduct structured root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring exceptions and collaborate with Operations, Technology, Data, and Risk teams to reduce repeat incidents.
Control Governance & Enhancement
- Maintain a governance framework for all operational control reports, including ownership, frequency, tolerances, data lineage, and escalation paths.
- Drive improvements in existing reporting logic and partner with Technology teams to enhance automation and accuracy.
- Support the development of new preventative (rather than detective) control mechanisms.
Risk & Performance Insights
- Assist in the development and analysis of key risk indicators (KRIs) and control testing methodologies.
- Work with Operations, Operational Risk and Management teams to identify emerging risks and propose mitigation actions.
- Perform operational risk trend analysis and contribute to strengthening internal control frameworks.
- Prepare and present monthly data quality MI, insights, trends, and risk assessments to senior leadership and governance forums.
Continuous Improvement & Projects
- Play a critical role in the ongoing creation, enhancement, and automation of operational reports.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and ad-hoc projects to support organisational improvements.
- Promote a proactive risk-aware culture by focusing on preventative controls and early detection mechanisms.
Risk & Compliance Responsibilities
- Maintaining awareness of applicable policies, procedures, and risk tolerances.
- Considering current and emerging risks in all operational decisions.
- Ensuring timely and accurate escalation and documentation of incidents
