Job Description
The Opportunity:
Our company is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Principal Engineer to lead the integration of Agentic AI across our suite of lending products. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of lending by developing intelligent, autonomous agents that will redefine how lenders and borrowers interact with our platform. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and deploying AI-powered solutions that automate complex workflows, enhance decision-making, and personalize user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Architectural Leadership: Design and architect scalable, robust, and secure Agentic AI solutions across our Java, Python, Node.js, and React.js, Angular applications.
- Agent Development: Lead the development of AI agents for various lending processes, including loan origination, underwriting, servicing, and customer interaction.
- LLM Integration: Evaluate, integrate, and fine-tune Large Language Models (LLMs) to enable natural language understanding, generation, and complex reasoning within AI agents.
- Tooling and Frameworks: Develop and implement the necessary tooling, frameworks, and infrastructure to support the development, deployment, and monitoring of AI agents.
- Data Strategy: Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to define data requirements, data pipelines, and data governance strategies for training and optimizing AI agents.
- Innovation and Research: Stay at the forefront of Agentic AI research and identify opportunities to apply new techniques and technologies to enhance our platform.
- Mentorship and Guidance: Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to other engineers on AI/ML best practices and agentic system design.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.1
- Performance Optimization: Ensure the performance, scalability, reliability, and security of AI-driven lending solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or masters degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Experience: 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record of designing and building complex, enterprise-grade applications.
- AI/ML Expertise:
- Deep understanding of AI/ML principles, particularly in the area of Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic systems.
- Experience in developing and deploying AI agents using frameworks and tools.
- Strong knowledge of natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and deep learning techniques.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, React.js, and Angular.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
- Strong cloud computing experience, particularly with AWS.
- Experience with software development best practices, including version control (Git), CI/CD, and testing.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex challenges into manageable solutions.
- Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical2 audiences.
- Leadership: Proven ability to provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to other engineers.
- Passion: A passion for innovation and a strong desire to transform the lending industry with AI.
