Job Description: Head of Department
KMS is seeking experienced and dynamic Head of Department (HoD) to lead our academic
team. The HoD will oversee curriculum planning, teaching quality, and student outcomes,
ensuring alignment with CBSE standards and the schools vision for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic leadership and mentor subject teachers to achieve high teaching
standards
- Plan, implement, and monitor effective delivery of the CBSE curriculum
- Ensure quality lesson planning, classroom practices, and assessment strategies
- Oversee internal assessments, examinations, result analysis, and remedial planning
- Guide teachers in adopting innovative and technology-enabled teaching methodologies
- Monitor student progress and support academic and behavioral interventions
- Ensure compliance with state, CBSE and school Bye-Laws and policies
- Coordinate with school leadership on academic planning and improvement initiatives
- Organize departmental meetings, training sessions, and academic audits
- Maintain departmental records, resources, and documentation required for inspections
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in the relevant subject with B.Ed. (mandatory)
- Minimum 57 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school
- Prior leadership or coordination experience preferred
- Strong subject expertise, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to mentor, motivate, and manage a team of teachers
- Proficiency in using digital tools and academic management systems
