Data Engineer @ ITC Infotech

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a Data Engineer with 2+ years of experience in Azure-based data platforms to support and enhance our Data Availability initiatives. The role involves building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and ensuring reliable, timely, and scalable data delivery across analytics and reporting platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure data services
• Build and manage end-to-end data ingestion and transformation workflows
• Ensure high data availability, reliability, and performance across data platforms
• Work with Azure Databricks / Synapse / Microsoft Fabric for data processing and transformation
• Monitor pipeline executions and troubleshoot failures and performance issues
• Implement data quality checks and validation rules
• Optimize existing pipelines and data workflows for efficiency and cost
• Collaborate with architecture, analytics, and business teams to support data requirements
• Support data onboarding and integration from multiple source systems
• Maintain documentation for pipelines, data flows, and processes

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory / Data Pipelines
• Strong knowledge of Azure data platform services
• Experience with at least one of:
• Azure Databricks
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Microsoft Fabric
• Good understanding of data ingestion and transformation patterns
• Proficiency in SQL
• Basic to intermediate Python knowledge (preferred)
• Experience working with structured and semi-structured data
• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts
• Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting data jobs
