Job Description

Key Responsibilities

HRSD Development & Configuration

  • Design and develop solutions within the ServiceNow HRSD module including HR Case Management, Employee Service Center (ESC), and HR Knowledge Management.
  • Configure HR services, lifecycle events, case workflows, record producers, and HR task templates.
  • Implement and customize HR Agent Workspace and Employee Center.
  • Develop and manage HR Catalog Items and workflows using Flow Designer and Workflow Editor.

Platform Development

  • Develop custom applications and enhancements using ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies).
  • Configure Service Portal widgets and pages for HR use cases.
  • Implement integrations with third-party systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, payroll systems) using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and IntegrationHub.
  • Design and manage data imports using Import Sets and Transform Maps.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and ensure proper data security for sensitive HR information.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and data privacy standards (GDPR or regional compliance where applicable).
  • Configure COE (Centers of Excellence) and maintain secure data segregation.

Upgrades & Enhancements

  • Support ServiceNow platform upgrades and patching activities.
  • Perform impact analysis and regression testing during version upgrades.
  • Optimize system performance and implement best practices for scalability.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with HR business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Participate in design workshops and provide technical recommendations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including ITSM, ITOM, and Integration teams.
  • Provide Level 2/3 support for HRSD-related issues and enhancements.

Documentation & Governance

  • Prepare technical design documents (TDD), solution design documents (SDD), and SOPs.
  • Maintain code quality standards and follow ServiceNow development best practices.
  • Support audit, compliance, and governance processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 810 years of overall IT experience with minimum 4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow HRSD development experience.
  • Strong expertise in ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD) module.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API).
  • Experience in Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Service Portal.
  • Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP integrations.
  • Experience with ServiceNow upgrades and instance management.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow data model and platform architecture.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow HRSD Implementation Specialist Certification.
  • Experience working in large enterprise/global environments.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of other ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, CSM) is an added advantage.

Competency Level: C2

  • Capable of independently handling complex HRSD implementations.
  • Provides technical leadership and guidance to junior developers.
  • Engages directly with business stakeholders for requirement discussions and solutioning.
