Job Description
\Role & responsibilities
The Civil Designer is responsible for the end-to-end design and engineering of civil and structural components, including buildings, RCC, and specialized foundations. This role encompasses Basic, Proposal, and Detailed Engineering, ensuring seamless interface checks and the prompt resolution of site-specific engineering queries
Key Functional Responsibilities
- Design & Review: Execute and review civil designs for buildings and structures, focusing on RCC, Pile Foundations, and finishing details.
- Pre-Bid & Tendering: Review tender documents to identify technical deviations; prepare pre-bid queries and conceptual designs aligned with project requirements.
- Estimation: Prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and detailed technical specifications; perform final reconciliation of civil, structural, and architectural quantities.
- Coordination: Manage inter-disciplinary inputs (load data and fixing details) and coordinate with vendors to resolve technical queries and review vendor documentation.
- Site Support: Provide prompt resolution for Site Engineering Queries (SEQ) and offer technical assistance for Variation Order requests beyond the EPC contract scope.
- Interface Management: Conduct rigorous interface checks with adjoining facilities to ensure structural integrity and spatial alignment.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Education: B.E. in Civil Engineering (Required); M.E./M. Tech in Structural Engineering (Preferred).
- Experience: 3 to 10 years of experience in civil design.
- Industry Expertise: Proven track record in Engineering for Power, Material Handling, Fertilizer, or Copper Smelter projects.
- Core Competencies: Proficiency in designing Deep Foundations (Piles), industrial buildings, and complex RCC structures
