Job Description
Medical coding HCC Chennai
Roles and Responsibilities: -
- Review and analyze patient medical records to assign accurate ICD-10-CM codes for HCC/Risk Adjustment.
- Ensure coding compliance with CMS HCC Risk Adjustment guidelines.
- Identify and capture chronic conditions and comorbidities impacting risk scores.
- Perform prospective and retrospective chart reviews.
- Maintain accuracy and productivity standards as defined by the client/Sutherland.
- Ensure documentation supports assigned diagnosis codes.
- Query providers for missing or unclear documentation when required.
- Stay updated on coding guidelines, CMS updates, and regulatory changes.
- Participate in internal audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile: -
- Certified coder: CPC / CRC / CCS / COC (mandatory).
- Minimum 13 years of HCC/Risk Adjustment coding experience (experience requirement may vary).
- Strong knowledge of:
- ICD-10-CM guidelines
- CMS Risk Adjustment Model
- MEAT criteria (Monitor, Evaluate, Assess, Treat)
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
- Good understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
- Good communication skills (verbal & written).
Timings & Transport
1. Shift timings 8.30am 5.30Pm
2. FIVE DAYS WORKING (MONDAY FRIDAY)
3. Need to be Comfortable with WFO-Work from office.
