Job Description: Accounting Analyst P&L & Alteryx Specialist
The Accounting Analyst will play a key role in supporting accurate financial reporting with a focus on revenue accounting. This role requires a strong foundation in accounting principles with a solid understanding of the full Profit & Loss statement, in particular revenue accounting in a manufacturing space, revenue recognition concepts, contract accounting, and period-end close processes.
The ideal candidate will also bring hands-on expertise in building, optimizing, and maintaining Alteryx workflows to streamline data preparation, automate recurring processes, and enhance financial analytics. This individual will support the Accounting function to drive periodic close activities, to improve data quality, strengthen reporting capabilities, and drive continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly close activities with a strong emphasis on revenue accuracy and variance analysis.
- Assist with revenue accounting processes, including reconciliations, revenue recognition, and data validation (preferred).
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Alteryx workflows to automate data transformation, validation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data flows and enhance reporting reliability.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Document workflows, standard operating procedures, and accounting processes.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and core accounting fundamentals.
- Solid understanding of P&L structure and key financial drivers.
- Experience with revenue accounting or exposure to revenue recognition concepts (preferred).
- Proficiency in building and maintaining Alteryx Designer workflows.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate complex concepts clearly.
