Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Search Team, contributing to the evolution of our search engine and shop catalog experiences. You will partner with Product Owners, Area Architects, and cross-functional teams to build new features, modernize architecture, and enhance search experiences for 11M+ customers across Europe.
This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge frontend technologies including React, NextJS, TypeScript, Docker, and modern cloud-native practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in solution investigation, estimation, sprint planning, and alignment with cross-functional teams.
- Design, implement, and deliver new features for the Search Engine Admin Tool and Catalog API interfaces.
- Promote and implement test automation (unit, integration, E2E, and performance tests).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate through pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing in an agile environment.
- Ensure high code qualityclean, modular, testable code with strong maintainability.
- Maintain existing applications, resolve incidents, and work proactively to reduce technical debt.
MustHave Qualifications
- 5+ years of strong experience building frontend / web applications.
- Deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks (React, React Hooks, ES6, Context API, NextJS, Webpack).
- Strong experience building & consuming REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Atomic Design and building React-based Design System libraries.
- Knowledge of testing tools (Jest, Cypress, Playwright).
- Experience with A/B testing tools (Optimizely / Adobe Target / VWO).
- Strong understanding of Web Design, UX, and Accessibility (a11y) best practices.
- Passion for writing clean, modular, testable code following best engineering practices.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional, and agile environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with NextJS SSR/SSG performance optimizations.
- Understanding of micro-frontend architecture.
- Exposure to search systems or product catalog systems.
- Knowledge of performance monitoring and observability tools.
