Job Title:

Pre-Sales Specialist

Function Focus:

This role is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and presenting high-impact solutions for enterprise clients below mentioned areas

Leading proactive bids and RFP/RFI responses as the Presales owner. This involves understanding client needs, defining the IT architecture, product mapping, digital, analytics and commercial parts of the solution, the operating model, authoring the RFP / RFI response by partnering across all support functions. Target metric is sales bookings. (Only indirectly a success parameter)

o Leading development of capability including defining forward compatible solutions required to have a differentiated set of offerings for 3i Infotech, building, maintaining, and updating those solution offerings by partnering internally and externally.

o Developing point of views in collaboration with business leaders to help generate pipeline for sales


The incumbent will bridge the gap between business needs and technical possibilities by working closely with customers, internal practice leads, and delivery teams to craft solutions that align with client objectives and 3i Infotechs managed services portfolio.

Objectives:

  • Translate client requirements into viable and cost-effective infrastructure managed services solutions / Application solutions /
  • Assess client environments, pain points, and growth goals to recommend fit-for-purpose managed services models in below areas

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions covering multiple infrastructure pillarsCybersecurity, Storage, Compute, Network, Cloud.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions covering multiple Applications pillarsApplications, Automation, Analytics, AI based solutions

  • Benchmark against industry best practices to ensure competitive and differentiated offerings.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers in their digital transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Development:
    • Lead solution creation for RFPs/RFIs, proposals, and client workshops.
    • Work with practice leaders to scope out managed services delivery models (L1L3 support, hybrid onshore-offshore, automation-led operations).
    • Map out dependencies, risks, and assumptions for proposed solutions.
  • Pre-Sales Engagement:
    • Participate in client discussions to understand business challenges and translate them into high-level architecture and service frameworks.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling solution presentations and pricing inputs.
    • Support PoCs or discovery assessments to validate solution fit.
  • Market & Technology Insight:
    • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and market trends in digital infrastructure and managed services.
    • Conduct competitive analysis to identify areas for differentiation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work with internal delivery teams, architects, and partners to ensure solution feasibility and alignment to delivery capabilities.
    • Liaise with marketing to create relevant collaterals, case studies, and solution briefs.
  • Key Success factor:

o Successfully partner with stakeholders in the Sales / BD teams,

o Work alongside enterprise functions such as practice to develop a differentiated solution that wins the deal.

o Equal proficiency in working in international markets - NA, MEA and African markets to be specific would be an added advantage

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: BE/B.Tech (Computer Science, IT, Electronics) or MIS- MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 56 years of experience in IT Infrastructure or Managed Services or solution development in Application / Automation / Analytics / AI in  Pre-Sales functions.
  • Exposure to at least two of the following domains:
    • Cybersecurity (SOC, Endpoint Protection, Identity Management, etc.)
    • Storage & Backup
    • Compute & Virtualization
    • Network & Connectivity (WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, Firewalls)
    • Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) Infrastructure & Migration Services
    • Application Modernization
    • Automation Implementation
    • Analytics Project implementation
    • AI Implementation in existing Processes.
  • Proven experience in responding to RFPs/RFIs, preparing solution architectures, and working in cross-functional solution teams.

Key Skills:

  • Ability to think on your feet and rapidly assess solution approaches.
  • Strong problem-solving orientationability to break down complex requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL processes, ISO Standards (eg: 9000,9001,27000,27001) and managed services delivery models.
  • Aligning compliances with operational procedures.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for solution documentation.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumenbalancing technical fit with ROI.
  • Comfortable working in high-pressure proposal timelines and managing multiple opportunities in parallel.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Pre-Sales or Solution Architecture certifications in one or more domains (AWS/Azure, Cisco, VMware, ITIL, etc.) / Analytics / RPA certifications /
  • Experience working with global clients in BFSI, Manufacturing, or Telecom sectors.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with distributed teams.
