Job Description
Scheduled Walk-in Drive (Wednesday / Thursday / Friday | In-office) Please note: This is not open to all candidates. Only candidates with a confirmed schedule and shortlisting will be permitted to attend the drive and interview.
As a Specialist Platform Focus, you will be a senior, hands-on engineer responsible for building and strengthening the core platform foundations of FLX ONE Cargo.
This role is critical to ensuring that Cargo services are built on scalable, reusable, cloud-native, and intelligent platform components, enabling engineering teams to deliver faster while maintaining long-term system health, reliability, and observability.
Key Responsibilities -
Platform & Shared Services
- Design, develop, and maintain shared platform services used across multiple Cargo engineering teams
- Build common libraries, frameworks, and reusable runtime components using .NET
- Ensure platform components are modular, well-documented, scalable, and easy to consume
Cloud, AWS & Infrastructure Foundations
- Build and evolve cloud-native foundations on AWS, including deployment patterns, configuration management, and observability
- Contribute to infrastructure standardisation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives
- Improve system reliability, performance, scalability, and operational consistency
Architecture & Engineering Execution
- Translate architectural designs and standards into practical, production-ready platform implementations
- Ensure platform services enforce agreed contracts, boundaries, and technical standards
- Identify, track, and resolve cross-cutting technical debt proactively
AI & Intelligent Capabilities
- Contribute to or integrate AI-driven capabilities within platform or service layers
- Support adoption of AI/ML-enabled features, automation, or intelligent decisioning where applicable
- Collaborate with architects and teams to ensure AI components are scalable, secure, and production-ready
Hands-on Development & Support
- Own and evolve critical platform components running in production
- Perform deep code reviews for platform-facing changes
- Support production debugging, optimisation, and incident resolution for shared services
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of hands-on software development experience
- Strong expertise in .NET / C#, backend, or platform engineering
- Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native application development
- Exposure to or hands-on experience with AI/ML concepts, AI integrations, or intelligent systems
- Proven experience building shared services or internal platforms used by multiple teams
- Strong system design skills, engineering judgment, and problem-solving mindset
Good to Have
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, etc.)
- Familiarity with observability tools, monitoring, and reliability engineering practices
- Exposure to large-scale SaaS or platform-based environments
