Role & responsibilities

Join the advanced diagnostic team at Manipal Hospital, Kharadi. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician with a specialization in Microbiology to oversee critical sample processing. You will be responsible for ensuring 100% accuracy in diagnostic procedures and maintaining the highest level of SOP compliance within the lab.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Processing: Lead the processing of microbiology samples, including culture, sensitivity testing, and identification of pathogens.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure 100% adherence to clinical protocols and lab safety standards to maintain the hospital's high clinical proficiency levels.
• Equipment Management: Operate and maintain advanced microbiology lab equipment, ensuring zero downtime and optimal performance.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain precise records of all findings and ensure data is uploaded correctly into the Hospital Information System (HIS).
• Mentorship & Training: Assist in the skill development of junior technicians, contributing to our goal of having a highly "Proficient" technical workforce.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology or DMLT / B.Sc. MLT with specialized experience.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of core experience in Microbiology sample processing within a NABH-accredited hospital or large diagnostic lab.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and a commitment to behavioral excellence in a high-pressure environment.
