 Senior Software Test Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Software Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated test frameworks with a primary focus on Selenium for UI automation. A strong understanding of test strategy, API testing, and quality assurance best practices is essential for this role.
Our in-house Regulatory Technology platform is built with Azure PaaS/SaaS tools. Experience with the Azure platform and a willingness to learn are key foundations for success.
Some of the things you ll be doing:
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to understand and refine user stories for test readiness.
  • Design, develop, and manage automated test scripts using Selenium while applying QA principles and best practices.
  • Execute and review functional, UI, and API test plans to ensure products meet acceptance criteria.
  • Perform regression testing and ensure continuous test coverage as part of the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Identify quality gaps, log defects with clear documentation, and work with development teams to drive resolution.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to estimation, planning, and retrospectives.
  • Actively contribute to improving testing processes, automation strategies, and overall product quality.
  • Work within an ecosystem of vendor solutions and internal system integrations, ensuring quality throughout.
What technical skills, experience and qualifications do you need?
  • 8+ years of experience in functional testing, automation (UI + API), and test process implementation.
  • Solid knowledge of STLC methodologies and tools.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Selenium/Playwright based automation.
  • Solid knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured.
  • Experience working in Agile teams with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitHub, or Azure DevOps.
  • KYC / AML, Financial Services / Banking domain experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills , analytical thinking , and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and quality-first mindset.
  • Knowledge and interest in applying AI to software testing of particular interest.
  • Bachelor s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred.
