Surgery Medical Coders - Only For certified @ CorroHealth

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Assign accurate medical codes to patient records using CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and other relevant coding systems.
• Review and analyze medical documentation to determine the most appropriate code assignment.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and guidelines for coding standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies or questions related to coding.

Job Requirements :

• Certified as a CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or equivalent certification.
• Minimum 2-7 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in general surgery or SDS (Surgical Discipline Specialty).
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology principles.
• Proficiency in CCS (Clinical Coding Standards), COC (Certificate of Completion), CIC (Certified Inpatient Coder) certifications.
