Job Description
- Accounting Operations: Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial statements.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (balance sheets, income statements).
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, and conduct internal audits .
- Budgeting & Strategy: Develop, monitor, and analyze budget variances to assist in cost reduction and financial planning.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor the accounting department staff.
A Financial Controller acts as the lead accountant, overseeing all daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls to ensure compliance and financial stability. They manage month-end closings, budget preparation, cash flow tracking, and regulatory compliance, while providing financial analysis for strategic decision-making.
