Job Description
We are looking for a hands-on Data Migration Specialist with strong SQL skills and solid experience using DSP (Data Stewardship Platform) as a data migration tool. The role will focus on extracting data from SAP and other enterprise sources, transforming/validating it, and executing end-to-end migrations with strong governance, reconciliation, and defect resolution. Key Responsibilities Execute end-to-end data migration activities using DSP (Data Stewardship Platform) including load preparation, trial loads, cutover loads, Pre and post load reports generation and validation.Write and optimize SQL to extract, transform, validate data across source and target systems.
Build and maintain data extraction/connection approaches from SAP and other sources (other ERP, Excels ) in coordination with source system owners.
Perform cleansing rules, deduplication, standardization, Conversion, and enrichment as required for migration readiness.
Build migration deliverables: Object structure in DSP tool, source-to-target mappings given by clients, transformation logic, data rules, load plans, and runbooks.
Manage data quality checks and reconciliation (record counts, key totals, variance analysis, referential integrity).
Triage and resolve migration defects, including root-cause analysis, re-runs, and coordination with functional/technical teams.
Support cutover planning: sequencing, dependencies
Ensure adherence to data governance and security requirements (sensitive data handling, access controls). Required Qualifications Strong hands-on SQL skills.
Hands-on experience with DSP (Data Stewardship Platform) specifically for data migration (load execution, rules/validations, issue handling, migration lifecycle).
Experience extracting/working with data from SAP and other enterprise systems.
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT and migration concepts: full vs delta loads, staging, transformation patterns, error handling, restartability, and reconciliation.
Experience working with structured delivery (defect tracking, runbooks, cutover checklists, documentation).
Strong stakeholder collaboration skills (business data owners, SAP functional/technical teams, target system teams).
