Your Role As an
AEM UI Developer , you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining highquality frontend components within the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform. You will work closely with designers, backend developers, and content authors to create seamless, scalable, and visually engaging digital experiences. You will bring strong UI engineering expertise to deliver responsive, accessible, and performancedriven AEM websites.
In this role you will play a key role in: Developing responsive front-end components using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks integrated with AEM. Implementing AEM components and templates using HTL/Sightly, client libraries, and front-end build tools. Collaborating with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into pixel-perfect, reusable components. Integrating front-end functionalities with AEM back-end services, dialogs, OSGi components, and workflows. Optimizing page loading performance , accessibility, SEO readiness, and cross-browser compatibility. Working with AEM authoring tools and supporting content teams with UI-related issues or enhancements. Following front-end best practices including code modularity, reusability, naming standards, and version control. Troubleshooting UI issues across environments and ensuring smooth deployment through CI/CD processes. Contributing to design system components , AEM style systems, and front-end architectural improvements. Participating in code reviews , grooming sessions, and sprint planning with cross-functional teams. Your Profile 5 Top Technical Skills 1. HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/ES6+ Strong expertise in semantic markup, scalable CSS architectures (BEM/OOCSS), responsive design, animations, and modern JavaScript features.
2. AEM Front-End Development (HTL/Sightly) Hands-on experience creating AEM components, client libraries, dialogs, editable templates, and integrating UI code with AEMs component architecture.
3. Modern UI Frameworks (PreferredReact, Vue, or Angular) Ability to build modular, reusable widgets and integrate them into AEM using client-side rendering or hybrid approaches.
4. Front-End Tooling Build Systems Proficiency with Webpack, Gulp/Grunt, Node.js, NPM/Yarn, Sass/LESS, and code optimization tools.
5. Performance, Accessibility Cross-Browser Optimization Deep knowledge of Lighthouse, Web Vitals, accessibility standards (WCAG), CSS/JS optimization, lazy loading, and responsive behavior.
