About the Job
The Business Central Developer role involves tailoring the application to specific business needs by creating new features, modifying existing functionality, and integrating with other systems. The ideal candidate ensures seamless operation and addresses technical issues through coding and configuration.
 
As Business Central Developer, You Will
  • Create custom extensions and modifications to Business Central functionality using the AL development language to meet specific business requirements.
  • Integrate Business Central with other systems and applications like CRM, ERP, or external data sources using APIs and data connectors.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications for development.
  • Design and develop new features, forms, reports, workflows, and dashboards within Business Central.
  • Thoroughly test developed solutions to identify and fix bugs and ensure quality functionality.
  • Deploy developed solutions to production environments and provide ongoing maintenance and support.
  • Manage upgrades to new Business Central versions and ensure compatibility of custom solutions.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for developed solutions, including user guides and technical specifications.
As Business Central Developer, You Need
  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Central Developer or similar role, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Proficiency in AL programming language and experience with Visual Studio Code.
  • Knowledge of integration techniques using APIs, web services, and data connectors.
  • Experience with SQL Server, including writing and optimizing queries.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices.
  • Experience with other Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications, such as BC Customer Service, Module and Finance & Operations. Ecommerce website integration to BC.
  • Knowledge of Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts and Microsoft Azure services.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as Azure DevOps or Git.
  • Familiarity with data migration techniques and tools.
  • Certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or related technologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
