Position Overview
We are seeking experienced and highly qualified Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across
English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies for Grades 312. The
SME will develop engaging, rigorous, and standards-aligned instructional materials based
on U.S. curriculum frameworks (e.g., Common Core, NGSS, and state standards). This role
requires strong subject expertise, curriculum development experience, and the ability to
design student-centered, concept-driven instruction that promotes critical thinking,
problem-solving, and academic rigor. Key Responsibilities
1. Subject Matter Expertise
Develop curriculum-aligned content for the assigned grade band and subject
area.
Ensure alignment with U.S. standards (Common Core, NGSS, or relevant state
standards).
Design concept-driven, age-appropriate instructional materials.
Incorporate real-world applications, inquiry-based learning, and critical
thinking strategies.
Maintain high standards of accuracy, academic rigor, and cultural
responsiveness.
2. Instructional Design & Development
Create detailed lesson plans aligned to measurable learning objectives.
Develop formative and summative assessments.
Design scaffolded practice, inquiry tasks, performance-based assessments, and
discussion-based questions.
Recommend visuals, simulations, multimedia assets, manipulatives, and digital
interactive elements.
Identify media and interactivity requirements for digital course development.
3. Collaboration & Review
Collaborate with Instructional Designers and curriculum teams.
Participate in structured review cycles and incorporate feedback.
Attend virtual collaboration and planning sessions.
Support pilot testing and refinement of instructional materials.
4. AI-Enabled Workflow
Use AI tools responsibly to support drafting, assessment development, and media
ideation.
Validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, rigor, and standards alignment.
Ensure content quality and instructional integrity at all stages. 5. Subject Areas Covered
English Language Arts (Literary analysis, writing, reading comprehension)
Mathematics (Elementary through advanced high school mathematics)
Science (Life, Physical, Earth, Environmental Sciences; Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
Social Studies (History, Civics, Government, Geography, Economics) Qualifications Required
Master's degree in a relevant subject area, education, or related field.
Experience teaching or developing U.S. curriculum for assigned grade band.
Strong understanding of standards-based instruction.
Experience in lesson planning and assessment development.
Comfortable working with AI tools for content enhancement and validation.
Willingness to work on digital authoring platforms (e.g., Articulate Rise training
provided).
Experience with digital or blended learning environments.
Familiarity with Common Core, NGSS, or relevant U.S. state standards.
Experience in educational publishing or curriculum design projects. Skills & Attributes
