Job Description

Role Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled Excel VBA Macro Expert to design, develop, optimize, and maintain automation solutions within Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong proficiency in VBA macro development, advanced Excel functions, and building robust, scalable automation workflows.


Key Responsibilities


VBA Development & Automation (Primary Focus)

  • Design, build, and optimize Excel VBA macros to automate manual and repetitive tasks.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain Excel based applications, user forms, and automation tools.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well structured VBA code with proper documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and debug existing macros to ensure performance and reliability.

Excel Based Data Processing


  • Build templates, analytical models, dashboards, and reporting tools using Excel and VBA.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across automated solutions.

Stakeholder Collaboration


  • Gather and analyze user requirements; translate them into technical VBA solutions.
  • Provide end user support, training, and documentation for developed tools.

Optimization & Best Practices


  • Evaluate existing Excel processes and recommend improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Ensure workbook performance optimization through modular VBA design and efficient coding practices.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Finance, or relevant field.
  • Proven hands on experience in Excel VBA Macro development.

Required Skill Set (Primary Focus on VBA)


Core Skills

  • Expert level proficiency in Excel VBA, Macros, and Automation.
  • Strong command over Excel functions, formulas, Pivot Tables, charts, and named ranges.
  • Ability to create modular, reusable VBA components and automation routines.

Additional Technical Preferences (Nice to Have)

  • Exposure to SQL for data connectivity or querying.
  • Familiarity with Power Query / Power Pivot / Power BI.
  • Experience integrating Excel with other MS Office applications.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
