The Team

Morningstar Indexes Team leverages its expertise in equity research, manager research, asset allocation, and portfolio construction to create innovative investment solutions. It uses Morningstars intellectual property to create indexes that empower investors to achieve their goals at every stage of the investment process - market monitoring, benchmarking, and asset allocation. The team offers a broad suite of global equity, bond, commodity and asset allocation indexes.

The Role
The Senior Technology Manager works closely with the development squads to monitor strategic initiatives and identify opportunities to improve our product suite and platform capabilities. They also work with product and business teams across Indexes plus IT teams in Morningstar to create, maintain and support product offerings.

Responsibilities

+Act as the software guardian. Own non-functional requirements, architectural direction, quality of the code and addressing technical debt.

+ Manage a team of 15-20 Software Engineers, QA Engineers and scrum master(s) to ensure high productivity and high-quality product development.

+ Collaborate with product management, operations, and other global teams to track and implement new functional requests.

+ Work with Ops team to ensure Index products are supported, updated and secured to Morningstar standards.
