Job Description
- Skilled in backups disaster recovery
- Should have production support experience
- Experience in performing Mongo DBA operational routines
- Setup and configuration of MongoDB cluster infrastructure in cloud environment (preferably in AWS)
- MMS configuration experience
- Configuring and monitoring replica sets
- Optimising database/query performance
- Configuring Sharding , monitoring, and identify the proper shard key
- Selection, inserting large amounts of data
- Performing Security measures, backups and restore backups
- User Management creating users, assigning roles, managing permission
- Migration experience will be an added advantage.
- Creates and maintains all databases required for dev, testing, prod- Mongo DB
- Performs capacity planning required to create and maintain database.
- Performs tuning of databases.
- Plans and implements backup and recovery of the DB
- Experience in cloud migration projects desired.
- Implements and enforces security for all Databases
- Performs database reorganisations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of database.
- Provides technical support to application migration teams
- Enforce and maintains database constraints to ensure integrity of database
- Assist with impact analysis of any changes made to database objects
- Troubleshoots with problems regarding databases, applications and development tools.
- Able to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organisations and Technical documentation skills
