Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior ETL Talend Developer to design, develop and maintain robust ETL solutions using Talend and IBM DataStage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL solutions using Talend and IBM DataStage.
• Analyse complex data requirements and build efficient ETL pipelines to support business needs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional IT teams to understand data integration needs and propose optimal solutions.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple data sources to target data warehouses or data lakes.
• Implement data quality checks, exception handling, and performance optimization in ETL processes.
• Conduct unit testing, validate data accuracy, and troubleshoot technical issues in ETL jobs.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including mappings, workflows, and data dictionaries.
• Participate in code reviews, deployments, and production support as needed.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Stay current with industry best practices and tools in ETL and data integration technologies.
• 6+ years of experience in ETL development and data integration.
• Minimum 4 years of strong hands-on experience in both Talend (preferably Talend Open Studio/Enterprise) and IBM DataStage.
• Proficient in ETL job design, performance tuning, and handling large-scale data processing.
• Solid understanding of RDBMS concepts, SQL queries, and experience working with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret business requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
• Good understanding of data modelling, data warehousing concepts, and data lifecycle management.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and job scheduling tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.

Qualifications
