Designation: Sales Manager Transfusion Medicine
Department: Transfusion Medicine (TM) Division
Location: Bhopal/Chennai
Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager / National Sales Manager
Experience Required: 27 Years (Healthcare/Medical Devices/Hematology/Transfusion Medicine preferred)
Role Summary
The Sales Manager Transfusion Medicine will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring effective promotion of transfusion medicine products across the assigned territory. The role involves managing key accounts, expanding customer base, coordinating with channel partners, and achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Promote and generate demand for Transfusion Medicine products, including Blood Collection Bags, Filter Bags, Apheresis Kits, ACD Bags, Blood Bank Equipment, Apheresis Machines, and related consumables.
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within blood banks, government institutions, private hospitals, medical colleges, and NGOs.
- Drive execution of sales plans to achieve territory revenue, volume, and penetration targets.
2. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with Blood Bank Medical Officers (BBMOs), Pathologists, Transfusion Medicine Specialists, Lab Directors, Purchase Heads, and Institutional Buyers.
- Conduct regular product demonstrations, training sessions, and scientific discussions.
3. Channel Partner Management
- Develop and manage a strong network of distributors and channel partners.
- Ensure product availability, forecasting accuracy, and timely stock movement in the assigned territory.
- Support partners with product knowledge, promotional materials, and sales strategies.
4. Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new product requirements.
- Submit timely reports including daily sales reports (DSR), funnel updates, target vs. achievement, and market feedback.
- Provide insights for strategic planning to management.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with the Marketing, Service, Supply Chain, and Clinical Support teams for seamless execution.
- Support tender documentation, technical submissions, rate contracts, and follow-ups for institutional business.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Transfusion Medicine, Hematology, Blood Bank processes & medical device sales.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Relationship-building capability with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
- Target-oriented mindset with ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and sales reporting.
Education
- Graduate/Post-Graduate in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Pharmacy, or MBA in Marketing.

- Achievement of monthly/quarterly/yearly revenue targets.
- New customer acquisition and territory expansion.
- Growth in product penetration across blood banks.
- Distributor performance and stock management.
- Tender participation and closure success rate.
