Job Description
Position Description:Qualification:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- We are seeking a skilled Data Architect with 10+ years of hands-on experience in managing enterprise databases and supporting critical application deployments
- The role requires strong expertise in data migration, database object creation (tables, indexes, procedures), performance tuning, and deployment scripting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data migration across environments and platforms
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business and technical requirements
- Analyse existing systems and translate business needs into data structures and relationships
- Define data standards, naming conventions, and metadata for consistency across the organization
- Ensure models support performance, scalability, and integration requirements
- Design and create database objects such as tables, indexes, stored procedures, and views
- Optimize queries and perform performance tuning to ensure efficient database operations
- Prepare and execute deployment scripts for releases and environment refreshes
- Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure availability and reliability
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support application deployments
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in data modeling methodologies (3NF, dimensional/star schema, snowflake, etc)
- Proficiency with data modeling tools (ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, or similar)
- Strong SQL knowledge and understanding of RDBMS concepts
- Proven experience in data migration, performance tuning, and query optimization
- Strong skills in SQL scripting and automation
- Hands-on knowledge of backup/recovery tools and deployment processes
- Good understanding of indexes, partitions, and database design principles
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Nice to Have Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps-based database deployments
- Exposure to cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP) is a plus.
