Job Description

  1.     Coordinate development of route plan for the MMU
  2.     Provide preventive, promotive and curative health care and referral services to patients during MMU-OPDs and thematic health camps
  3.     Document and maintain health records of patients as per project requirement
  4.     Utilize, supervise and manage stock of medicines, healthcare products and reagents for regular MMU services and thematic health camps
  5.     Supervise safe disposal of biomedical wastes
  6.     Liaise and interact with other medical, non-medical staff, govt. health department officials and community members and create and maintain positive image of the organization and donor for the services delivered
  7.     Network with other medical professionals/ specialists for special camps/activities
  8.     Encourage health literacy amongst the target audience
  9.     Supervise functions and quality of services of the MMU technical team
  10.     Provide regular need-based technical training to MMU team

Medical Officer should have a professional degree MBBS, registered with Medical Council of India, with a minimum of 03 years of experience

Clinical & Technical Skills
  • Dispensing medicines as per doctors prescription
  • Knowledge of generic & branded medicines
  • Dosage calculation & drug interactions awareness
  • Maintaining drug inventory & stock register
  • Monitoring expiry dates & FEFO/FIFO system
  • Cold chain management (if applicable)
  • Proper storage of medicines as per guidelines
  • Basic first aid knowledge
Documentation & Compliance Skills
  • Maintaining medicine distribution records
  • Stock reporting & indent preparation
  • Supporting audit & donor documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with government norms
  • Biomedical waste segregation & disposal support
Communication Skills
  • Patient counseling on dosage & precautions
  • Explaining side effects & drug instructions clearly
  • Coordination with Medical Officer & nursing staff
  • Polite behavior with patients & community members
